UNIVERSAL LEAF TOBAC ERP Implementation Analyst in Richmond, Virginia

Job Summary:As a Universal ERP Implementation Analyst you will be responsible for participating in all phases of the project life cycle including: requirements gathering, solutions identification, solution design and documentation, solution demonstrations, user training, and user support. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, who can work under dynamic conditions and within deadlines. This is an important position in the Controller's Department to facilitate the implementation of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations across the Company's global footprint and will work cross-functionally with many different departments such as Accounting, Procurement, Production Operations, Sales, and IT.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting Systems, Finance, Supply Change Management or related fieldrequired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, accounting or ERP conceptsrequired.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in implementation of a business process change or ERP system required.
  • 1 year of experience as Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or 365 Consultant or Functional User preferred.
  • Flexibility and willingness to accommodate at least 30% travel during certain peak phases, both international and domestic.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or agricultural supply chain, financial and/or cost accounting, multi-company or multi-currency organizations preferred.
  • Strong ability to understand and analyze simple and complex business processes and data.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members within the department and throughout the organization.
  • Possess effective organization and communication skills (listening, written and verbal) with the ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Motivated worker with a strong commitment to the job and the flexibility to work extra hours.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and analyze existing systems to implement forward-thinking solutions, efficiencies and improvements.

``` - Become an expert on internal systems functionality to translate business needs into technical documentation, accounting for the impact of code changes to current processes. - Meet with business process leaders to determine the necessary business requirements, perform gap analysis, and turn business requirements into functional specifications. - Conduct training to establish confidence and user acceptance.

``` - Assist the client with data migration and testing. - Understand role-based security and provide internal control recommendations to maintain segregation of duties. - Provide detailed business requirements for the MIS development team, including various levels of functional/technical documentation. - Take ownership of the creation and communication of system/process changes to the appropriate end-users. - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and work closely with developers to define steps to reproduce and correct defects. - Coordinate and monitor end-user acceptance testing of system changes and enhancements. - Understand, research, and resolve daily ad hoc operational questions.
