Job Responsibilities:

• Configure, administer, and document DNS multi-view configuration, and DHCP services

• High-level troubleshooting of network, protocols, and application issues

• IP mgmt, DNS, DHCP administration

• API scripting in Python.

• Linux administration to include scripting and file system management

• Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.

Required Skills:

• IP Mgmyt, DNS, DHCP configuration, scripting of API calls.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCP

• Knowledge of TCP, understanding of network, protocol, and application traffic flows

• Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues including IPv6.

• Network knowledge

• Network design and implementation

• Network troubleshooting

• Tracking budget expenses

• Project management

• Problem-solving and analytical skills

• Time-management skills

• Strong documentation skills

• LAN knowledge

• Network hardware configuration

• Network performance tuning

• Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers

Desired Skills:

• Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows. Preferred Perl, python and JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of DNS and DHCP

• Linux

• Proficient with application layer protocols – HTTP, SSH, SSL, etc.

• BlueCat DNS Platform

• Infoblox DNS
