Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Wastewater Operator to join our team at Inframark in North Charleston, SC. As an Industrial Wastewater Operator, you will play a vital role in treating influent wastewater from our facility's production areas. Your responsibilities will include pH adjustment, metals precipitation, clarification, and filtration to ensure compliance with the local municipality POTW discharge permit. Job Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical offloading and application, as well as dosing.

• Make vital flow adjustments to optimize wastewater treatment processes.

• Supervise and control the system using PLC technology.

• Operate filter press, ultrafiltration system, and multi-media filter.

• Handle sludge and ensure proper disposal.

• Collect data and perform process control sampling and testing.

• Write reports and maintain regular customer interface.

• Assist with maintenance tasks such as pH calibrations, probe replacements, and air diaphragm pump rebuilds.

• Troubleshoot instruments and rebuild chemical pumps.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with third parties and the Regional Coordinator.

• Conduct equipment inspections and review chemical feed usage.

• Act as a 24/7 emergency contact for troubleshooting assistance and decision-making.

• Maintain accurate records of wastewater activities and discharge data in a logbook or electronic database.

• Coordinate sampling with contracted outside laboratory.

• Manage non-hazardous waste disposal through coordination with the site contractor.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Industrial Wastewater Operations and/or Industrial Mechanical and/or Electrical field.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.

• State of South Carolina, Class D Wastewater Operator certification, or ability to acquire within 12 months. Must obtain Operator in Training License within 2 weeks of hire date.

• Clean driving record.
