Job Summary

S eeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Operation Center Analyst to join our dynamic team. The NOC Analyst will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network and other technology alerts to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves supporting a major worldwide financial company, primarily focusing on the United States, Canada, and multiple Latin American countries.

Major Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and other critical infrastructure using various tools and technologies, including SolarWinds, to detect and respond to incidents promptly, with a specific focus on the financial systems supporting the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

  • Analyze network performance data, actively participating in Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for Windows servers, and troubleshoot issues within the context of the global financial network.

  • Process and update weekly and monthly NOC reports.

  • Host and manage incident resolution conference calls 24/7.

  • Scripting to automate a number of NOC functions to help increase team efficiency.

  • Support Active Directory services, ensuring secure and efficient user access to network resources in alignment with financial industry standards.

  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal downtime for critical financial operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex network and Windows server-related problems, considering the impact on the financial systems across different regions.

  • Conduct routine checks on network equipment, configurations, and systems, with a keen awareness of the unique requirements of the financial and Windows server environments.

  • Provide accurate and detailed documentation (Runbooks/Procedures) of infrastructure and service incidents with precise resolution, and preventive measures, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Implement and follow established procedures for incident response, escalation, and resolution for both network and Windows server environments in alignment with global financial service standards.

  • Utilize several tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SecureCRT, ServiceNow, xMatters, WebEx, and others for effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.

  • Participate in the development and improvement of NOC processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with the specific needs of a major financial institution.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance network monitoring and Windows server capabilities within the financial industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 1-2 years' experience as a NOC Analyst or in a similar network and Windows server support role within the financial sector.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and software, with expertise in Windows server environments.

  • Proficient in using network monitoring tools, troubleshooting techniques, and Windows server administration.

  • Experience with Active Directory management and secure user access in a financial context.

  • Familiarity with tools such as SolarWinds, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SecureCRT, ServiceNow, xMatters, WebEx, and other relevant technologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen awareness of the financial industry's unique challenges.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment with a global perspective.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications) are a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $70K - $90K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
