Your typical day – Our MDA analysts and engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems.

What you will do...

The Advanced Test Analyst will directly support the Missile Defense Agency Directorate for Ground Test (MDA/DTG) in all aspects of Missile Defense System ground test and Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) planning and execution. Events are typically classified at DoD Secret or higher, and involve Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratories and operational Missile Defense System assets located at geographic sites worldwide. These test event activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate planning activities, issues, and schedules with MDA elements/stakeholders throughout event planning, integration, and execution

  • Develop and present working-level technical briefings

  • Develop senior/executive level briefings and coordinate walk-up activities prior to senior/executive level meetings

  • Track watch items and issues to closure or appropriate mitigation

  • Develop test event documentation (e.g., test plans, event objective worksheets, systems under test, etc.)

  • Lead change management activities throughout ground test events

  • Develop, submit, and track test observations and lessons learned

  • Coordinate and lead weekly planning meetings

  • Support on-console activities, as required

  • Schedule and coordinate weekly planning meeting distribution lists, calendar invitations, and conference rooms

  • Review/develop end of day emails and reports

Skills you will need...

  • Capable of leading and executing analytical tasks and utilizing analytical techniques and processes to support complex developmental and operational test programs.

  • Capable of leading and executing planning, monitoring, and implementation support for complex Missile Defense Systems (MDS).

  • Extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities focused on analysis of MDS test objectives, resources, test architecture and system under test to meet all test requirements.

  • Capable of leading the development and utilization of analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizations, verbally, electronically, and in writing.

  • Possess exceptional technical writing and Government reporting/documentation skills (e.g., Congressional/GAO Test inquiries).

  • Ability to support multiple efforts simultaneously.

  • Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve problems including test planning, integration, execution, and analysis.

  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.
