Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Takes SPeD security training as directed for area of focus.

  • Develop, present and facilitate designated Security training as directed for any and all security disciplines, to include Information Security, OPSEC, Personnel Security and AT/FP.

  • Conducts face-to-face Security training for new Agency personnel. Also, provide custom-tailored designated Security training throughout the Agency as requested and required.

  • Conducts SCI Briefings and Debriefings when appointed as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)

  • Conducts designated Security assessments of sub-components and support elements coving any and all security disciplines, to include Information Security, OPSEC, Industrial Security and AT/FP.

  • Provides support with the execution of the Agency’s Information Security Program (ISP), which includes the classification/declassification program and security education and training programs.

  • Provides support to the Agency Automatic Declassification Program. Establish contacts and display proven ability in the Automatic Declassification community.

  • Collaborates with DTRA Directorates and Field Offices, and with the Chief, Security and Counterintelligence, and/or government PM to develop, coordinate and publish DTRA security procedures and documents.

  • Conducts security reviews of Agency documents being considered for public release through the Agency’s Public Affairs Office.

  • Develops products for the security education and awareness training program.

  • Supports Foreign Disclosure Office and Public Affairs by reviewing information submitted to both offices to identify any OPSEC concerns.

  • Generalist must have at least one of the Key Experience listed below.

  • Key Experience: Possess integrated security services skill sets in the following areas: Special Security Officer (SSO) Operations; Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations; SCI Personnel Security; SCI Information Security; SCI Physical Security; SCI TEMPEST; and, SCI Industrial Security.

  • Key Experience: Familiarity with Operations Security (OPSEC), security declassification, and security requirements before releasing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or Classified Military Information (CMI) to a foreign entity.

  • Key Experience: Knowledge of personnel security administration requirements, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) clearance procedures, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).

  • Key Experience: e-QIP and Defense information System for Security (DISS) or follow on systems, and Scattered Castles.

  • Key Experience: Experience working with Automatic and Mandatory Declassification Programs.

  • Key Experience: Knowledge of OPSEC and related basic security principles, concepts, policy, procedures and methodology, in addition to the necessary skills required to apply this knowledge and provide security advice, and assistance on a wide range of security issues.

  • Knowledge of skills needed to perform personnel, physical, and information security work.

  • Communicates clearly orally and in writing.

  • Excellent writing, teaching, briefing skills; works well on a staff of Government and contractors.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Security Fundamentals professional Certification (SFPC).

  • Experience supporting Security related programs with US government.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience or 10 years military service required.

  • Strong writing and reporting skills, with the demonstrated ability to brief high level customer stakeholders and senior staff.

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.
