Our team's mission is to ensure that highest quality of every Amazon Linux release. In our team you have the opportunity to make the Amazon Linux distribution a better product for all customers.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will ensure operational excellence of our test automation tools and services. You do this by designing and implementing improvements to address key pain points that cause operational load. With your expertise you will help your colleagues to design and build excellent test automation solutions. You will support Amazon Linux engineers to use these services for testing releases. You will enable them to deliver high quality software that delights customers.

About the team

Our vision for testing is automation first. We build tools and services that make it easy and pleasant for developers to release high quality software. We advice them on test plans, test strategy, how to evaluate test results, and how to make tests more meaningful.

For our day to day work we strive for a good balance between collaboration and uninterrupted focus time. We value reasonable planning and getting things done.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Dresden, DEU

Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development

• Experience with Linux/Unix

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a scripting language like Python (preferred), Perl, Ruby, PHP

• Experience with test automation and software testing
