Job Title: Human Resources Generalist II FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt Reports to: Human Resources Director Schedule: FT, M-F Supervises: N/A Start Date: TBD Rate of Pay: $26-$27/hour Close Date: 5/20/24 Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following: Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disability insurance Sick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire) Vacation benefit - 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment) One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually, but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-month introductory period of employment) Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan) Function: The HR Generalist provides support to the HR team and IM Division for all its people management needs. This includes ongoing compliance tracking as well as the employee life cycle needs. The Human Resources Generalist II works collaboratively with the HR Team in all aspects of personnel management, orientation, scheduling, employee relations, employee health and welfare benefits and policy matters. Will act as liaison between the Intermountain employees, and supervisors on employment and benefit matters. The position requires familiarity and compliance with Salvation Army policies, practices, and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: Review and process TSAMM items to the HR Director ensuring items are accurate, complete, and conform to Salvation Army requirements. TSAMM items are as follows. HR 7 (New Position) HR 5 (Separation for Cause) HR 11 (Seasonal) Hiring/Processing Backup (when HR Gen I is out of office) for all TSAMM and I9 processing. UltiPro data entry, reporting, compliance, and troubleshooting. Data entry into UKG for HR5 (Terminations for cause), HR 11 (Seasonal). Entry of Emergency Contact, EEO Update(s), Gender, Ethnicity, Veteran, Disability status. Reporting on any immigration status/work permits/work authorizations by adding follow-up in HR calendar, email flag, and to do item for bring up by due date/date of expiration. Troubleshooting, main contact point for UKG (reporting, modules, updates, etc.). Act as back-up to Gen I in their absence to scan/upload docs to UKG e-file (as needed) Manage Recruiting and Screening Process. This includes, posting jobs through UKG and external vendors (ZipRecruiter, 4 TSA Sites to HRD, etc.) Managing Applicants by sending to Hiring Managers weekly for review and "coding" of status/interest level. Updating/communicating status of application process to candidates at DHQ by using the email features in UKG or in external vendor system. Closing postings upon position being filled. Conducting and scheduling of phone screens (or TEAMS interviews) for DHQ, as needed. Attending DHQ In-person interviews as requested by or in absence of HR Director. Leading the Recruiting Portal Use/Training/Set-up, in coordination with the HR Director. Conduct reference checks for DHQ applicants, as needed/as requested. Assist HR Director by keying new TSAMM items upon request for HR Department or other locations, as needed/directed. Work to support compliance as needed (as back-up or support in busy times) for ongoing personnel matters with direction from the HR Director, and compliance needs with direction from HR Benefits and Compliance Lead. Work with Gen I and Clerk to assist with onboarding/orientation document compliance, if needed. Prepares exit letters and end of service documents for all terminations. This includes working with HR Director on exit interviews (scheduling, conducting, reporting) and summaries. Assist with rocedures and policies, general Q& A and support to the field and DHQ in regards to Human Resources. Assist with the facilitation of employee grievances, conflict resolution and employment related legal proceedings, under the direction of the HR Director (and as their back-up). Coordinate High Peak camp and Kettle Worker process, including UKG entry, E-verify background checks, coordinating with locations, ensuring paperwork is received, files in good order etc. with support from the HR team. Serve as back-up for other HR employees during absence, vacation, or busier periods. Will maintain confidentiality in all matters considering the nature of Human Resources work and scope. Other duties as assigned. Qualification and Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred along with one-year experience in Human Resources or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Strong skills in interpersonal communication, writing, and organization. Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity. Good reasoning and sound judgment abilities required.
