This Video Engineer will be on a dynamic team, helping to modernize CCTV systems in child and youth services facilities. Serco supports the Army IMCOM as a prime contractor. Our team designs, integrates, and maintains systems for Army garrisons worldwide.You will be part of a small, high-performance team that collaborates closely with the customer to deliver quality systems.

We are looking for an engineer to evaluate, design, document, implement, and perform problem resolution for a range of CCTV components and systems.

Occasional telecommunicating provides work location flexibility.

In this role, you will:

• Design, configure, troubleshoot CCTV systems

• Produce technical documentation

• Perform analysis to determine optimal camera placement and ensure coverage of critical areas for surveillance

• Configure and program CCTV systems for recording, including setting up motion detection and scheduling recording times

• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CCTV systems, identifying hardware faults and software glitches

• Implement network configurations for IP-based CCTV systems, ensuring secure and efficient data transmission

• Upgrade CCTV systems by integrating innovative technologies and enhancing system capabilities

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

• 3 years of experience (Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting IP-based CCTV systems highly preferred)

• High School Diploma/GED

• Familiarity with video management software (VMS), IP cameras, and networks

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, math, electrical engineering, or information technology

• Drafting with AutoCAD

• Certifications related to IP-based CCTV systems, particularly Pelco, Genetec, Milestone, and Axis

• Experience with VMS products such as Pelco VideoXpert and Genetec Security Center, and Milestone XProtect

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $66,558.60to $110,931.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
