A leader in the agriscience industry, dedicated to advancing agricultural productivity through innovative science and technology is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis within the United States. Our mission is to provide sustainable solutions to the global challenges of food security and environmental stewardship. We are seeking a Engineering Specialist with expertise in VGL, LIMS, and SampleManager to join our team and support our research and development efforts.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including VGL and SampleManager. You will work closely with our research and development teams to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and analysis of experimental data. Your expertise will contribute to the acceleration of our scientific research and development processes.

Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and optimizing LIMS platforms, particularly VGL and SampleManager.

• Experience in the agriscience or biotechnology industry is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in LIMS configuration and management.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.

• Experience with data integration tools and workflow automation.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting frameworks.

• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of designing solutions for complex data management challenges..

Desired Skills & Experience

• LIMS Management and Optimization: Manage and optimize our LIMS platforms, including VGL and SampleManager. Ensure systems are configured to meet the needs of our research and development teams.

• Data Integration and Workflow Automation: Develop and implement data integration solutions and workflow automation to streamline data collection, processing, and analysis.

• Sample and Data Tracking: Ensure accurate tracking and management of samples and experimental data throughout their lifecycle. Maintain data integrity and quality.

• Collaboration with R&D Teams: Work closely with scientists, researchers, and laboratory staff to understand their data needs and develop solutions that enhance their workflows.

• System Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for LIMS systems. Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements as needed.

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop custom reports and data visualizations to support research activities. Facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.

• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and best practices. Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and workflows.

• Training and User Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of LIMS systems and data management tools..
