The team you will be a part of:

The Global Information Systems (GIS) team leads Whirlpool Corporation’s IT strategy, providing business applications and infrastructure capabilities on a global basis and driving value through simplification, stability, and predictability in everything we do. Managing and optimizing technology infrastructure and data systems, and collaborating closely to ensure seamless communication and alignment of IT strategies with business objectives.

This role in summary:

The GIS global product manager for Consumer Data Products owns the consumer data structure product line (also internally called Consumer 360) and is accountable for product strategy, design, global development and delivery, cost, and vendor management. The role ensures that the product line is developed and maintained using sound business and technology management practices, and it supports business transformation by enabling new capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Business Management

  • Consult with product customers to assess and anticipate current and future product requirements and develop a long-term action plan. Manage product budgets and make informed and dynamic investment prioritization decisions.

  • Work with stakeholders to continually optimize the governance and decision-making processes within the product line. Develop and execute product roadmaps that deliver business outcomes in line with dynamic regional joint business plans.

  • Build and attract world class technology talent for the product team. Partner with Digital Center of Expertise (DCoE) to design technical solutions for selected use cases based on Data Product.

  • Collaborate with business partners and regional leaders to determine the right product funding model and facilitates strategic planning conversations.

Technology Management

  • Coordinate with enterprise architects to align the product line within Whirlpool’s architectural ecosystem. Coordinate with Infrastructure and Data Engineering teams to advance platform and DevSecOps capabilities.

  • Oversee product operations and guides CI efforts to support business outcomes. Defines, tracks, and communicates product specific KPIs to improve the product adoption, performance, and value. Work with other product owners to avoid duplication and identify interdependencies.

  • Manage vendor relationships related to the product line and align vendor products and services with enterprise strategy and product objectives.

  • Implement industry standards and development methodologies, including Agile and DevSecOps, within the product line to increase responsiveness and growth.

Business Transformation

  • Act as the point of contact for the product line and works closely with the Global DCoE team, business relationship managers, business functional leaders, and other enterprise IT leaders as required.

  • Collaborate with business partners to quickly experiment and scale where feasible. Recommend business process changes for new value delivery and better product line adoption.

  • Apply expertise in design thinking and analytics to ensure customer-centric experiences. Identify and evangelizes business and technology trends that can improve product business outcomes.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or related.

  • 6+ years of experience in end-to-end technology delivery, operations management, and/or business strategy.

  • Extensive familiarity with business processes and operations acquired from collaborating closely with non-IT business units (e.g., Sales, Marketing, R&D, Consumer Services, Consumer Insights, CRM).

  • Proven track record of overseeing teams or processes associated with consumer activation via CRM, implementation of data-driven use cases in Consumer Services, and conducting what-if analyses based on Consumer Insights.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist in the development of Business Cases through thorough cost and return analysis encompassing both direct and indirect metrics.

  • Experience implementing consumer Data Model with business analytics adoption goals.

  • Strong business acumen; understanding the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and an organization’s various business goals.

Preferred skills and experiences:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management.

  • Proven experience developing and delivering long-term strategy and technology roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated understanding of design thinking, Agile methodologies, and DevOps.

  • Proven ability to manage quality of service of the product KPIs.

  • Established track record effectively managing teams and maintaining lines of communication through organizational change.

  • Demonstrated capability in collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives and business leaders.

  • to influence without authority.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial management and vendor management.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering and architecture.
