Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

You will partner closely with LEGO Education’s US sales and marketing teams to:

  • Deliver best-in-class and scaled legal support across sales and marketing, with a focus on sales of products and professional development to US public education systems

  • Drive excellence in risk management and compliance across all US operations, including sales, marketing (including digital marketing), data and insights, operations, grant funding, and government and political affairs

  • Drive a culture of ethics and integrity, and related frameworks, including policies, self-service tools, toolkits, and impactful training

  • Identify, educate on, and address emerging legislative and regulatory developments

  • Draft and negotiate contracts relating to partnerships, vendors, contractors and consultants across the US sales and marketing ecosystem

  • Collaborate closely with global colleagues to share knowledge, optimize processes and implement systems, with a focus on government-related activities

You’ll be part of a team dedicated to managing legal issues for the LEGO Group’s fast-growing LEGO Education division, and sit within the LEGO Group’s global legal function.

You’ll work on scalable solutions to transactional and regulatory matters, mitigate critical risks, and be a key strategic partner to LEGO Education’s US team.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Law School Degree (J.D., LL.M.)

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house with US government contract negotiation and related regulatory compliance

  • Deep understanding and experience of ethics and lobbying related matters with strong personal integrity and ethics

  • Strong partner, collaborator and team contributor across regions and thrive in a changing environment

  • Positive and curious approach with distinct can-do attitude

  • Balance commercial, strategic and organization priorities and works towards the big picture

  • Understand complex business domains, explain key trade-offs, and makes clear recommendations

  • Some travel expected (likely less than 30 days per year).

Please note that relocation support is not offered for this role.

The salary for this position has a range of $120k - $180k a year based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.

The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.

The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
