At our headquarters in Bjerringbro, Denmark, you will join our Global System Applications team, part of the Grundfos IT organization. With colleagues in Denmark and the Philippines, we hold the responsibility for Linux System Administration. We are operating a complex and business-critical setup with more than 130 servers.

As our Senior Specialist, your responsibility will be driving the ongoing update of our server solutions. We are transitioning into SUSE Linux for SAP. With two colleagues you will be mapping and driving the process and collaboration across our IT organization specifically the teams covering our SAP environment on-premise and in the cloud.

“You will be working on ensuring that the backbones for our business-critical systems are functioning optimally. But you would not only be a system engineer specialist here. You will also work with our other dedicated specialists in implementing new solutions and ensure that business is constantly a factor in our processes. This is an exciting new journey for us, and you get to put your mark on it,” says Michael Holstein Carlson, IT Supervisor.

Combine your IT and collaboration skills

We are looking for a person who is confident in taking responsibility for solutions involving business critical infrastructure and who possesses the capacity to overlook the complexity of a large server environment. You are familiar with risk assessment to avoid and reduce downtime and increase security.

Key requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux system administration in a similar role

• Familiar with a complex server environment

• Experience in an international organization is a plus

• Proficient in English and Danish

• Confident with SUSE Linux from SAP

• Experience with Redhat Linux, Jboss and hyperscaler

If you have experience in the following areas it will be an advantage but not a requirement:

• DB2

• Websphere Application server ND

• Ansible

• Bash

• Scripting

• IBM Access Manager

• Apache

• Understanding of CI/CD/DevOps/automation

• Akamai

• Docker/Container
